This research is under the guidance of Mrs. Rostanti Toba, M.Pd. as the first advisor, and Mrs. Nadia Sya’ya, M.Pd., M. TESOL as the second advisor. Sociolinguistics is the research of the connection between language and society. Every people have a different language style when they interact with each other. Mixing one language with the other languages, in the sociolinguistics field is called code-mixing. The use of code-mixing in society has been common, especially in social media. Social media, especially Instagram, has seen a huge rise in the practice of code-mixing as a means of self-expression for young people and Instagram influencers. The difference between this research and the previous research is the researcher used one of selebgrams who has followers more than 8M, namely Jaidi, who often uses mixed language humor in his social media captions. This research used a descriptive qualitative research to see the different types of code-mixing used by Jaidi, starting from September 2022 to April 2023. This research employed content analysis, also known as a document analysis. The data were examined by using code-mixing which based on Hoffman's theory. The results revealed three different types of code-mixing in Jaidi's instagram caption, including intra-sentential code-mixing, intra-lexical code-mixing, and implying variations in pronunciation. The use of English words and noun phrases dominated code-mixing in the form of intra-sentential code-mixing. The following is intra-lexical code-mixing and involving variations in pronunciation. The data showed 48 utterances of intra-sentential code-mixing, 11 utterances of intra- lexical code- mixing, and 2 utterances indicating pronunciation alterations were revealed by the results.
