Erlena Ramadaba,Students Reading Comprehension Of Islamic Short Story At The Eleventh Grade Students Of MAN 2 Samarinda In 2017/2018 Academic Year. Thesis Under-Graduate Degree Education Department Teacher Training and Tarbiyah Faculty State Islamic Institute Samarinda. Under Guidance, Mohamad Muklis, M.Hum as the first advisor and Rostanti Toba, M.Pd as the second advisor. Reading is one of four basic skills. Reading involves some language component (pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency). Reading be fun, if a teacher can turn into a creative Reading assignment for the students by using some interesting technique. Regarding to this, one of the technique that can be used is Islamic Short Story. The purpose of this researchis to find out the students comprehension in reading of narrative text at the eleventh grade of MAN 2 Samarinda. The subject of this researchis the eleventh grade students, and the samples of this research are 11 grade Language class. Theresearch instrument is reading test. The research technique in analyzing data is qualitative data using t-test. The researchresultshows that the use of Islamic Short Story in comprehension reading of narrative text is Good. It can be seen from the result of check list that the students’ score in experimental class. The mean score is B (good). It means that student understand about content Islamic Short Storyat eleventh grade Language class of MAN 2 Samarinda.
