This research is under the guidance  of  Mrs.  Rostanti  Toba  M.Pd  as  the  first  supervisor  and  Mrs. Anis Komariah M.Pd as the second supervisor.
The atmosphere in the classroom is a very important aspect for students in the English learning process. The classroom atmosphere can influence the effect of learning, especially in English learning. This makes the researcher interested to examine what problems teachers and students faced in learning English, including factors that cause those problems happened and possible strategies to help them reduce these problems according to the included preferences of teachers and students. The objective of this research is to find out the classroom atmosphere in learning English at Tarbiyatul Athfal Islamic Elementary School Samarinda in academic year 2023/2024.
This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. Class environment at SD Islam Tarbiyatul Athfal Samarinda that conclude students, teacher, classroom, building, and condition around the school were the subject of this research. The data was gathered through interviews and analyzed according to Miles and Huberman Interactive Model.
The findings of this research discovered that teacher and students experience several problems in class atmosphere in learning English which can be categorized into four factors, namely environmental, social, teacher and school facilities. Moreover, the solutions to reduce the problems that according to the input preferences of teacher and students that can be implemented include using loudspeakers to make it easier for students to hear the teacher's explanation, always maintaining classroom  cleanliness,  clever teachers looking for easy and good methods for teaching English, and schools providing facilities that can support student learning, especially in English Learning.</note>
