Digitizing education is the process of transitioning from traditional to modern methods, such as from paper to paperless and from books to technology accessible online. This research describes wisely navigating the transformation of English education into a world of technology or digitizing, which includes: era/time, widely discussed trends in the use of technology, challenges, dynamics, and other supporting components. This research aims to (1) explore the extent to which the trends of digitizing English education influence teacher' obligations to teach and the fulfillment of curriculum requirements at SMA Plus Melati Samarinda. (2) to identify and analyze the challenges encountered by English teacher in the process of digitizing English Education at SMA Plus Melati Samarinda, and (3) to investigate a school principal and students perspectives on the utilization of technologies in the teaching-learning process used by an English teacher at SMA Plus Melati Samarinda. This research used a qualitative research method. The approach to conduct this research was a descriptive qualitative design. The data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. This research used data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion as data analysis techniques. The participants were an English teacher, school principal, and students in SMA Plus Melati Samarinda. The result showed that in the context of digitizing English education, teacher utilize technological trends in the form of hardware, software, and social media in learning. Digital trends are divided into two factors: technology use in education and digital-based learning. In its application, the researcher found challenges influenced by four factors; curriculum, learning methods, support and management, and evaluation. These findings are strengthened by the perspectives of a school principal and students, which indicate similar thoughts about the technology utilization (digital trends) by English teacher and problems (challenges) that arise during the learning process.
