Reading is a process of communication with the condition that the reader must understand what is conveyed by the author in the text. In line with the importance of reading, mastery of English reading in junior high school is one of the primaries that become the focus of English subjects. Because, some students say that to describe something it is difficult, especially, finding the main idea, topic sentences, general and specific information, and new word meaning. Therefore, the one of right is the jigsaw technique. The research problem was how is the improvement of students’ reading comprehension in descriptive text using jigsaw technique of seventh-grade students at MTs. Modern Al Muhajirin Loa Janan and the research objective was to identify the improvement of students’ ability in reading comprehension in descriptive text using jigsaw technique of seventh-grade students at MTs. Modern Al Muhajirin Loa Janan. The research used a classroom action research design that was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle contains four steps: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subject was seventh-grade students at MTs. Modern Al Muhajirin Loa Janan in the academic year 2023/2024. Data were collected in this research by quantitative research, through observation and test to describe the progress of the action. The average score and percentage class were used as a representative central tendency for the improvement of the student’s ability in in reading comprehension in descriptive. These research findings showed that there was an improvement in students’ ability in reading comprehension in descriptive text using jigsaw technique could be seen from comparison calculations between the total average score of reflection I and reflection II. In cycle, I, the students' ability in reading comprehension in descriptive text was categorized as low, with an average score was 50 and a percentage class passing grade was 38%. However, some students do not reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). In cycle II the average score of students was 78,82 and the percentage class of passing grade was 73%.</note>
