Thesis, English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Islamic University Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. This research is under the guidance of Mrs. Rostanti Toba, M.Pd as the first advisor and Mrs. Anis Komariah M. Pd as the second advisor. Learning style is way that a student uses to capture information or knowledge, how to remember, think, and solve problems in the learning process. Learning styles could be beneficial for the students and the teachers in learning process. If learning style of students going well with the teaching method used by teachers, the students will be very possible to succeed in learning process. The purpose of this study is to identify students’ learning styles at the fourth semester of English department of UINSI Samarinda. This research used a quantitative method. The data were collected using questionnaire. The population and sample were the fourth semester students at English Department of UINSI Samarinda, there were 30 students from TBI 1 involved in this research. In analyzing the data in this study, the researcher used a percentage and mean score technique by analyzing the questionnaires that had been filled out by the respondents. Results of the research showed that the learning styles of male and female students in the fourth semester are different. Male students prefer group learning style with a mean score of 12.09. Meanwhile, female students prefer tactile learning style with a mean score of 13.15. The most dominant learning style in learning English at the fourth semester is group learning style which is indicated by the highest mean score of 12.36.</note>
