This research was supervised by Rostanti Toba, M.Pd as the first advisor and Nadia Sya’ya, M.Pd., M. TESOL as the second advisor. Speaking anxiety is one of the majority problems of students when they have to give presentations in front of the class. Based on pre-observation, the researcher found that some students admitted that they experienced speaking anxiety during presentations due to a lack of confidence and were nervous during presentations in front of the class. The objective of this research was to analyze the factors of students’ speaking anxiety during presentation at third semester of English Education Department of UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda in Academic Year 2023/2024. This research used a descriptive qualitative research method as a research design. The subjects of this research were third-semester students in TBI 2 class. The data were collected through observation and interview. The researcher used three steps, namely data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion and verification. Triangulation method was used as data validation of the research. The results of this research showed that there were three factors of students’ speaking anxiety during presentations at third semester of English Education Department of UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. The first factor was communication apprehension: students felt anxious due to nervousness, lack of confidence, shyness, and lack of vocabulary. The second factor was test anxiety: students felt anxious due the fear of failure and lack of preparation. The third factor was the fear of negative evaluation: students felt anxious due the fear of being laughed at and fear of being judged. Based on the result, the researcher concluded that communication apprehension, test anxiety, fear of negative evaluation were the factors causing students’ speaking anxiety during presentation at third semester of English Education Department of UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda.</note>
