Reading is the process of understanding the text. By reading, we can get insight, knowledge, and new information. Reading requires high concentration because reading is the process of analyzing writing or reading as well as digesting it so that the contents of the reading can be understood. Reading looks simple, but not a few students feel lazy in reading. The purpose of this research was to find what students difficulties in reading comprehension  at second grade of SMK Farmasi Samarinda. The objective of this research is to find out the students’ difficulties in reading comprehension.
This research is about analyzing students’ difficulties in reading comprehension at second grade of SMK Farmasi Samarinda. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Technique in collecting data using observasion and interview. Interviews were conducted with 15 students who were willing to give answer to the interviews given by researcher to the teacher. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis.
Based on the results in this research, it shows that the students difficulties in reading comprehention are students do not understand the meaning of the reading text, difficulty to find main idea in reading and students are difficulties to understand the contents of the reading text, because student’s vocabulary are lack. The time schedule of English subject was taught by English teacher at the afternoon. There are some students were already tired and sleepy in the lesson time, so that students do not concentrate to study English.</note>
